About La Grange, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Village of La Grange is located in Cook County, Illinois approximately sixteen miles west of the greater Chicago metropolitan area.  First settled by Robert Leitch in 1830, the village was founded by Franklin Dwight Cossitt and officially incorporated on June 11, 1879.  In addition to the commuter services provided by Metra and Pace Bus Service, the two main highways of the village, US Route 34 and US Route 12/20/45 provide easy access to the Tri-State Tollway and Interstate 55.  La Grange enjoys hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters with beautiful, mild weather during springtime and fall, making the village the perfect place to live or visit at any time of the year!

The downtown district of La Grange was voted Chicago Magazine's "Best Downtown" in 2009.  Today, downtown La Grange is charmingly suburban with an urban spirit that moves amidst the trendy boutiques, elegant salons, fine furniture and art galleries, and first-class restaurants that grace the downtown streets.

There is plenty to do in and around the Village of La Grange.  The La Grange Park District maintains and operates nine municipal parks and two recreational facilities within the confines of the village and offers more than fifteen-hundred programs that are available to residents of all ages.  The Brookfield Zoo, Des Plaines Valley Rendezvous, Forest Preserve District of Cook County, Illinois Bike Trails, and I&M Canal National Historic Corridor Civic Center Authority are all located nearby to the Village of La Grange.

The La Grange Area Historical Society is dedicated to the collection and preservation of historical artifacts and memorabilia relevant to the history of the local area.  The La Grange Community Museum and Research Center is located in the Vial House, built in 1874 by Samuel Vial who was among the first settlers to the area in 1834.

The Village of La Grange is a vibrant, growing community that is business and resident friendly, with excellent schools and extraordinary community services that provide residents and visitors with a great place to live, work, and play!
