About Darien, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The city of Darien is located in DuPage County, Illinois approximately twenty miles southwest of Chicago.  The area around Darien was settled in 1835 by members of the Thomas Andrus family and was incorporated as the village of Lace in 1890.  The city of Darien didn’t come into existence until the subdivisions of Hinsbrook, Marion Hills, Brookhaven, and Farmingdale decided to incorporate in 1969 as a single city.  Today the city of Darien is home to a population of more than 22,000.

Darien lies in the humid continental climate zone and enjoys hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters with beautiful, mild weather in the springtime and fall, making the city a beautiful place to live or visit any time of the year!

The Darien Park District manages 130 acres of parkland that includes the recreational facilities of the Darien Park District Community Center that houses a gymnasium and hosts a community preschool program, and the Darien Sportsplex that features three NHL sized ice surfaces and a full size indoor fieldhouse.  The sportsplex is home to the Chicago Hawks Hockey Club, one of the largest youth hockey leagues in the state, and is host to numerous special events including the Northern Illinois Hockey League Semi Finals, Shoot Out Hockey - Midwest Hockey Tournaments, and the Nike Bauer Hockey Tournament.

The Indian Prairie Public Library is host to books and so much more!  The library features more than fifty computers for use by library patrons and a second floor gallery that exhibits works by local artists and crafts people.  The library recently hosted the special event "Dancin' in the Stacks," a musical extravaganza that featured the Neverly Brothers and included a cash bar, dancing, and a 50s, 60s, and 70s costume contest.
