The Village of Glendale Heights is located in DuPage County approximately twenty-nine miles west of the city of Chicago, Illinois.  Incorporated on July 13, 1959, Glendale Heights is home today to a population of about 34,000 residents.  The village is situated within the humid continental climate zone of the U.S. and experiences hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters with beautiful weather in springtime and fall.  No matter what the season, Glendale Heights is lovely any time of the year!

The Village of Glendale Heights is a modern, residential community that has experienced significant growth and change since its early beginnings.  It is home to a total of twenty park and recreational facilities, including the Sports Hub, an eleven-acre park that features an outdoor basketball court, tennis and volleyball courts, bocce courts, an outdoor aquatic park, playground, and a recreation center complete with three gymnasiums and a fitness center.  The Village is also home to Center Ice of DuPage, which features hockey, ice-skating, and the Center Ice Skating Academy, and the Glendale Lakes Golf Club, which features a challenging fairway designed with the "Target Golf" concept that can be enjoyed by golfers of all skill levels.

The Glendale Heights Historical Committee is charged with the restoration of the Glendale Heights Historical House that was donated to the community in memory of Harold A. Reskin who was the founder and first developer of the village.
