About New Lenox, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Village of New Lenox is located in Will County, Illinois thirty-six miles from the city of Chicago.  New Lenox received its first permanent settlers in the late 1820s when Joseph Brown and Aaron Friend built an outpost there in 1829.  Incorporated in 1946, the village grew slowly until the arrival of the Rock Island Railroad in 1852, which brought significant changes and new growth to the area as farmers realized increased profits from new markets that had been unreachable before the railroad.  New Lenox today has a population of more than 25,000 residents and projects to reach 90,000 by the year 2030.  The village is served by the Metra/Rock Island District commuter rail and Pace Bus Service and has easy access to US Route 30 and Interstates 80 and 355.  New Lenox is in the humid continental climate zone in the U.S. and enjoys hot, humid summers and cold, snowy winters with beautiful weather in the spring and fall.  No matter what the season, New Lenox is beautiful any time of the year!

The New Lenox Area Historical Society is dedicated to the identification and preservation of the area's local history.  Schmuhl School was one of the first schools in the area and is a one-room brick schoolhouse that has been restored and relocated to the Hickory Creek Barrens property.

The New Lenox Park District maintains and operates thirty-five parks and fourteen recreational facilities within the village.  Hibernia Park features boat rentals and a children's splash pool, as well as a sand volleyball court, picnic facilities, and playground.  Haines Wayside Park and Schoolhouse Manor Park feature ice skating and sledding, as well as basketball, volleyball, and Frisbee golf.

Community is important in New Lenox!  The village hosts several annual festivals and community wide events, including the Triple Play Concert Series that features nationally known recording artists on three different dates during the summer, as well as the Annual Kids Fest, Proud American Days, and Halloween Parade & Costume Contest.  These are just a few of the lively events that are hosted by the city each year and widely attended by residents of the community and beyond!

New Lenox was designated a "Safe Community" by the World Health Organization and the National Safety Council on June 8, 2010.

It is easy to see why the residents of New Lenox love their village!
