About Carol Stream, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

The Village of Carol Stream, located in the County of DuPage, Illinois thirty-three miles west of the city of Chicago, is home to over 800 businesses and a population of 43,000 plus, and growing.  Carol Stream was founded in the 1950s by Jay W. Stream who named the new community for his daughter, Carol.  Since that time, Carol Stream has blossomed into a thriving, bedroom community due, in part, to its proximity to Interstates 355 and 88, and the O'Hare International and DuPage County airports.  As the recipient of multiple awards, the Village has received recognition for its sustainability efforts by the County of DuPage, Commonwealth Edison, and the DuPage Conservation Foundation, as well as for its focus and dedication to becoming a green community by the Illinois Recycling Association.  In addition, the Village of Carol Stream was named one of Money Magazine's "Top 100 Cities to Live" for 2011.

The Village was the subject of a five-page article by Fox Valley Magazine in April of 2011, detailing the successes of the community, including their award winning Park District that features the Coral Cove Water Park, 38 neighborhood parks, the 40,000 square foot Simkus Recreation Center, and a bike/pedestrian pathway system slated for expansion to connect to the DuPage County Great Western Trail.

Carol Stream has been designated an "Arts Friendly" community for three consecutive years by the Illinois Arts Alliance.  Since 1998, the Village has been hosting presentations of the performing arts at its celebrated Town Center, which includes a welcome plaza, a 22,000 square foot grass amphitheater, and reflecting ponds with cascading fountains and waterfall, as well as a thirty-foot diameter Octagon Pavilion that is designated for the future site of the community’s new performing arts venue.

With its strong industrial and commercial base, excellent schools and recreation, progressive community spirit, and dedicated community leadership, the Village of Carol Stream is truly one of America’s best cities!
